Sport & Fitness
Our alternative curriculum provides daily opportunities for sports and fitness activities.
Football, basketball, netball, gym/boxing exercises and table-tennis are available for pupils to get involved with during dedicated PE sessions and at break times. Individual fitness-training sessions also take place in local facilities.
Many of our pupils travel regularly to local sports facilities to participate in activities such as horse-riding, golf, rock climbing and water sports, such as kayaking, which offer new opportunities to try pursuits which they may not have experienced before.
These activities help to motivate pupils, build their confidence and team spirit as well as develop an understanding of the benefits of personal fitness.
At Key Stage 4, pupils can gain accreditation by completing a BTEC course in Sport and Active Leisure.
