Pupil Premium
Each year, HPRS receives extra funding from the government to help them improve the attainment of their disadvantaged pupils – this is the “pupil premium”
Evidence shows that children from disadvantaged backgrounds:
- generally face extra challenges in reaching their potential at school
- often do not perform as well as their peers
The pupil premium grant is designed to allow schools to help disadvantaged pupils by improving their progress and the exam results they achieve.
The way pupil premium funding is allocated is determined by each individual school. At HPRS, we have a pupil premium policy, which sets out our approach to using pupil premium funding. The policy is available to download below
We also set out how we have spent previous allocations in an annual report.
