The Aconbury Centre highly values the contact and support of our Parents andCarers. We will always do our best to respond promptly to any query, concern or wish to discuss any issue concerning your child.
We will keep in touch with you regularly in the following ways:
- Parents and Carers will receive weekly text messages to provide feedback about student’s attendance and behaviour progress.
- Parents and Carers are regularly invited to The Aconbury Centre to discuss their child’s progress and successes. After a few weeks of being at the Centre your child’s personal Tutor will be in touch to arrange a meeting to set up a Personal Support Plan (PSP). This meeting provides an opportunity for Parents and Carers to find out how their child is settling into the Centre, create together an overview of the child’s current situation at home, school and outside of school and set learning and behaviour targets for the coming weeks. Tutors
will meet Parents and Carers every term to review the PLP and set new targets.
- We also hold regular open days when family members can look around the Centre and see all the hard work and wide range of activities the students have been doing.
- When a student is leaving the Centre to begin at another school we invite Parents and Carers in to say goodbye to staff and students and to collect all their work they have produced during their time with us.
