Film club

Film club is a lovely, relaxing way to spend an afternoon. We have watch a variety of different genres of film. Students particularly enjoyed Avatar and Christmas Chronicles because they are engaging and uplifting story lines. They also started watching “A Testament of Youth” but found it a bit slow to get going and some of the war scenes were particularly realistic and harrowing.

We are currently watching “The Impossible” about the tsunami in 2004 in Thailand and the students have expressed mixed opinions on it. Some students have really enjoyed it because it is so true to life whilst others have found it too disturbing and shocking that it happened in their life times and could so easily happen at any point again.
